Feliz Navidad!! (Week 5 Group Letter)

I can't believe it is already almost Christmas! It is crazy to think that I have been here in the MTC for over a month now. Only a week and a few days and I am out and off to Bolivia! I got my flight itinerary yesterday so hopefully that means that there was a Christmas miracle and my Visa came through. This week was a super awesome one. Every day is the same here in the MTC so there's not much to write about. However, we did a lot of grammar study this week and suddenly Spanish is making sense. I am actually able to speak pretty decently but I know I am going to die in the field. Everything is starting to come together with Spanish tho and it is very awesome!!

As we approach Christmas I have had the opportunity to reflect a lot on the true meaning of Christmas. Here in the MTC the focus has been totally different than back home. It has really helped me to come closer unto Christ. In the first presidency devotional, President Nelson talked about gifts that the Lord offers us. To accept them we have to come unto him. I invite you all to read a talk called "Behold the Man" by Elder Uchtdorf from the April session of General Conference this year. I know that it is about Easter but I feel like it can apply to Christmas. As we truly learn how to Behold the Man we will be able to accept the gifts he offers us and will have a much better relationship with him.

I hope all of you have an amazing Christmas. I love you all!!
