Hey friends and family I hope you all had an amazing week!! Many of you know how much I have struggled so far in my mission. I have felt worthless for much of my time and this week was really hard as well. However, this week was the best week of my mission to date. We had our first baptism and wow it was such an amazing experience. When Andrea bore her testimony about how the Gospel has changed her life I could see the pure joy that it brings her. I was likewise filled with this pure joy. My mouth hurt from smiling so much. Every hard day was so worth it to feel that.
Many times we think that life is beating us down and that there is nothing we can do. What I have learned from this is that if we just keep going that good things are coming. Romans 8:18 is a wonderful scripture that talks about this. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." There is a store here that imports stuff from the states called HiperMaxi and I bought this Dr. Pepper today and it was the best thing ever! There is only Sprite, Coke and Fanta so it was a pleasant treat. It only cost me 7 bs for one can. Hahaha
