Hola amigos y familia! Hopefully you all had a great week! This week was a really good one for us. It flew by so fast it was weird. I am very sorry for the length. My mom got me a Word processor and I have been writing a summary of the day every night and por eso it is a Little lengthy. Let´s get started.
Tuesday - Today was carnaval and we weren´t able to work so it was a pretty tranquilo day. We deep cleaned our house and then watched Gods Army and Moana. We took naps and then we threw wáter balloons from our balcony. For Carnaval everyone just goes around throwing water on everyone and it is actually super cool. We went to the other elders house across our area to watch Coco and play monopoly and on the way we got destroyed by wáter.
Wednesday - We had a pretty boring day today. We went to try and find some of our old investigators in the morning but we couldn´t find anyone. We went to a cita with this lady named Antonieta and she gave us this super awful corn drink. For lunch we had sopa de mani which is the best thing on the planet. We had the rest of our citas fall through and so we just did a ton of contacting.
Thursday - Today I was on inter-cambios with Elder Salinas one of our zone leaders. We had a pretty good day. We had 2 new investigators and had some pretty good success that way. We couldnt find a few of our citas sadly but it was a good day. Elder Salinas is from Ecuador and is super awesome. The two of us combined drank about 3 liters of mate.
Friday - Today was a Little bit of a long day but it was good none the less. We had district meeting in the morning after a cita with Antonieta. We ended up contacting all day and it was so hot we about died. We visited a less active member Hno Roberto Aguilar and he gave us a ride in his truck to our cita and it made me super trunky because it was the first time I had ridden in a normal vehicle since getting here and he has the same truck as my dad. We had a cita with Sharlit and they fed us dinner and we read the Book of Mormon with her. She told us that all her family wants her to wait to be baptized so I might not be there to see her be baptized which is super sad.
Saturday- Today was a super awesome day! The other Elders in our Ward had a baptism so we went to that in the afternoon and after we went out to find a few old contacts and members and we had a man stop in his car and say ¨hey Elders I have an investigator for you¨ we went and found the guy and he was super awesome and we have a cita for tomorrow. Luego we went to a Noche de Hogar with a less active family, la familia Aguilar, and we got the dad Roberto to commit to getting the priesthood to be able to baptize his daughter Luna in a few weeks!
Sunday - Today was an awesome day! We had a fast for a lot of our investigators yesterday and also that we could find some new investigators and we felt that we should try and get a ton of Noches de hogar with the members so we talked to everyone and we filled up our nights this week with that. A lot of them are going to be bringing investigators for us and it is awesome! We couldn´t find a few people today which was sad but we had an awesome noche de hogar with la familia Huanaco. They brought their cousin who isn´t a member and he is awesome. After 9 when we are supposed to be in our house we always have movie night on Sundays so tonight we watched Sing in the hammocks.
This week sadly we lost a few awesome investigators. They just up and disappeared on us and we haven´t been able to find them for two weeks. One thing that I have had to learn this week is to trust in the timing of the Lord. The Lord´s timing is perfect. At times we might not understand why things happen in the way that they do. However, the Lord knows all things and if we can trust in his timing we can know that everything will be alright and everything will work out the way it should. I hope you all have a super good week this week. I love and miss you all!
