The call...

The long awaited day has finally arrived.  Kolbe submitted his papers a few weeks ago and waiting has been very painful on him.  He has a good friend down the street who's papers were submitted the same day and every day they text each other to see if the other one got his call yet.  I keep telling Kolbe that a watched pot never boils, but I will see him standing in the window watching for the mailman to pull up, and be the first one to the mailbox when he's home.  Or if he's at work, we get a text around 2:00 asking if anyone got the mail yet and if there is anything for him.  So you can imagine his excitement when his call finally came.  I was actually in Salt Lake with my parents and Bailey attending a Broadway play and he sent me the first picture showing it had arrived.  This was around 1:00 and he had to be to work at 4:30 so we decided to have him open it when he got home from work that night and I thought it was going to kill him.  But what an exciting night it was.  We had people on FaceTime, facebook live, and a full house.  He was so nervous to open it but so excited with the outcome.  He was called to the Bolivia Cochabamba mission and will be leaving to enter the Mexico MTC on November 20th.

The actual call
We had people guess on where he would go via email and facebook.  Mark really DID NOT guess Bolivia , but we still gave him credit for it!  It was fun to have a map full of so many guesses

We didn't get pictures of all who had stopped by because it was pure chaos, but after everyone left and it was just our family Kolbe probably spent a couple of hours on the computer that night reading all about Bolivia.  It was so fun to sit and listen to him tell us all about everything he was learning.  It was funny because although he was going so far away, I knew right away that this was the mission for him.  It was an amazing thing to feel and I knew that peace would help me through the next 4 months and prepare me to let him go!
